When the barometric air pressure is low, the water level in the spout will rise above the water level in the body. Conversely, when the air pressure is higher, the water level in the spout will drop below the water level in the body. The Glass Barometer measures 9 1/2 inches (24.1 cm) tall, 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide, 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm) deep, and weighs 4 ounces (114 grams).
