Grow a garden filled with beautiful Strawflowers from freshly harvested Helichrysum bracteatum flower seeds. Strawflower will produce a beautiful blend of flowers in shades of pink, yellow, white & rose. The blooms themselves are "daisy like" in appearance, and have rows of gorgeous, pointy petals. The centers are often times yellow and soft looking. Strawflower plants range in size anywhere between 24 inches to around 36 inches tall. The plants themselves are known to attract an array of beneficial insects to the garden, such as butterflies, bumblebees, hummingbirds & even ladybugs as well.
Strawflower is grown as a tender perennial in warm locations and an annual in cooler regions. The plants will grow quickly from flower seeds, producing their gorgeous blooms throughout the summer months, only to later die with the first frost. The seeds can drop to the bare ground beneath to regrow the following season, or the seeds can be collected from dried flower heads in late Fall. Grow Strawflower directly in the garden, in flower beds, along borders, walkways, driveways and fences.
