Details: The porrón is a glass container made of 100% recycled glass, whose most representative detail is its shape: a bottle with a bulge at the base or a bulging belly, with a long spout finished in a point and perforated to facilitate the outlet for the liquid, and a long arm on the opposite side to support it while in use. The clay vessel with a similar shape used to drink water or wine is also called a porrón. Used throughout Spain, it allows wine to be drunk as a container shared by several people (without the need for glasses, glasses, etc.) and is considered a national invention. Most of the sources place its origin in the horns of antiquity, and specifically in the Roman rhyton, although some sources circumscribe the origin of the glass jug to Catalonia.
